SIDNEY — The Faith Baptist Church of Sidney is holding a time for prayer each Sunday at 6 p.m. at courtsquare in downtown Sidney.
According to the church, members of the congregation have been called to pray for the Shelby County community, law enforcement, first responders, teachers, city counsel and nation.
The time for prayer started because of the outbreak of police shootings, the nation being in chaos, and the local heroin epidemic. For the past four weeks, the congregation has been meeting at the Shelby County Courthouse.
The public is invited to attend the prayer service.
