SIDNEY — The Mount Vernon Baptist Church, 606 Park St., Sidney, will be celebrating its 152nd anniversary Sunday, Aug. 28, 2016, beginning with Sunday School at 9:30 a.m. and morning worship at 11 a.m.

The theme for the all-day celebration is “Growing and Laboring Together for Christ,” with scripture reference 1 Corinthians 3:9 – 11. There will be a special worship service at 4 p.m. with the Rev. Dr. Ashton G. Allen and members of the Historic Mount Carmel Baptist Church of Cincinnati as guests.

The Rev. David D. Wynn and the congregation invite the community to fellowship with them on the church’s anniversary.
