LIMA — A. Lewis Jones II has been named gospel choir director at The Ohio State University at Lima. Jones is a native of Lima and an alum of both Ohio State University and Ohio Northern University. He earned his Master of Arts in Music Performance from the University of Salford in Manchester, England. While at Salford, Jones taught and performed at various schools, venues and festivals, and founded a Gospel Ensemble and Percussion Ensemble at the university.

In addition to his duties as the new gospel choir director at Ohio State Lima, Jones is the organist for the Philippian Missionary Baptist Church, director of music at the Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church, assistant show choir/instrumental combo director for Riverdale High School and director of instrumental music at Lima North Middle School.
