Vacation Bible school planned

PIQUA — Upper Valley Community Church will be holding its vacation Bible adventure and Sunday funday for children and their families.

At Maker Fun Factory vacation Bible School, planned for July 16-20, children will discover not only that God made them the way they are, but for a purpose too. Maker Fun Factory is filled with Bible-learning experiences kids see, hear, touch, and even taste! Sciency-Fun Gizmos, team-building games, Bible songs and treats are just a few of the standout activities that help faith flow into real life. Since everything is hands-on, kids might get a little messy. Be sure to send them in play clothes and safe shoes.

Children will discover how to see evidence of God in everyday life — something called God Sightings. The children will also have the opportunity to participate in a missions project by donating pennies and change that will let the kids in the local community show God’s love to needy villages in Honduras.

Doors open at 5:30 p.m. for walk up registration. The program ends at 8 p.m. for 3 year-olds and 8:30 for 4 year-olds to grade 5.

Further information can be found on VBA Facebook as well as the church website, https://www.facebook.com/uvccvba2017/.

Children can be pre-registered for VBA at http://www.uvcc.org/vba-registration/.

Sunday Funday on July 23 is the conclusion of the three week series, Made For This! Kids 3 years to fifth-grade are invited to worship with their families as the chuch concludes the series for all ages. The VBA Dance Crew, Gadgeteers, Steampunk Steve, Ian Ventor and friends will be there too! Then stay for the first annual Sunday Funday. A festival for all ages starting at 12:45 p.m. There will be a live DJ, food truck from Susie’s Big Dipper, lawn games, inflatables, picnic tables and more. This is a free event for the church family and community.

The church is located at 1400 Seidel Parkway, Piqua.
