SIDNEY — The Trinity Church of the Brethren, 2220 N. Main Ave., is hosting a community garage sale on Saturday, June 24, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The church’s mission is “to share God’s love, serve our neighbors and make disciples for him.” Church witness commission members Chuck Coy, Keith Coy and Cathy Clayton decided one way the church can serve is to provide a place and advertising for people to sell their items.

According to Clayton, the spaces are sold out. Fifteen people have signed up to sell a variety of items. The space fee proceeds will be donated to he Council of Religious Education, which is another way the church is serving the community.

The church will have sandwiches, baked goods and drinks for sale. A free children’s booth will provide activities for the young ones. Another booth will display flyers for upcoming local events and services, such as the Shelby County Historical Society “Summer Tea” and the Well of Hope shoe ministry.
