To the editor:

I believe our flag is recognized as a symbol of freedom worldwide and as Americans we should respect it.

When I see a vehicle going on the Interstate flying the flag from their rooftop, tearing it apart in the wind, I ask: Is this respect or disrespect?

When I see football players kneeling during the National Anthem and fans cheering before it is over, I ask: Is this respect or disrespect?

Are we all guilty of disrespect?

Maybe 30 seconds of silence after the National Anthem, so we all can reflect on the flag and what this country is about.
