To the editor:

Regarding the article by contributing columnist Paul Newberry, in the Aug. 4 edition of the Sidney Daily News, he can certainly voice his opinion about whether or not Urban Meyer was aware of the domestic abuse situation in 2015. However, to postulate that the fate of Aaron Hernandez could have been altered if Meyer had intervened more aggressively is ridiculous. In the absence of a crystal ball, to tie this situation to behaviors of previous players coached by Meyer and their future behavior is a huge stretch.
