To the editor:
On Nov. 6 we have the opportunity to cast a vote which will influence the finances of our school district for the next decade. Passing this renewal levy will continue generating over $4 million, per year, for the next 10 years.
It is important to remember this is a renewal levy. The district is not asking for additional funds. We property owners are currently contributing to this levy and when it passes, our taxes will not increase. Actually, the overall collection will be less than the original levy, by over $130,000.
One of the cornerstones of a strong community is having a well-funded school system. A solid tax base for our county, city, and schools is paramount for growth and progress. Please join me in voting “YES” for this renewal levy, to keep our schools and community going strong.
