Adams has record of leadership

To the editor:

John Adams is a small businessman. That is part of what makes him a good candidate for state senator.

John Adams is very pro-life. Ohio Pro-Life Action (OPLA) endorsed him.

Janet Folger Porter of Faith2Action stated: “John Adams’ efforts to pass the pro-life Heartbeat Bill were heroic.”

John Adams believes in parental control of education. He had the foresight to recognize that Common Core was not good educational policy. If the Legislature had followed his lead, Ohio would not have spent (wasted?) $200 million of tax money on tests that have little or no validity. (SDN-2/27/16). According to Heidi Huber, founder of Ohioans Against Common Core: “John Adams served as a statesman in the Ohio House, a rare commodity in Columbus. Putting principle before politics, he courageously took a lead role in the repeal of Common Core. From serving the discharge petition to fighting for repeal amendments in the final days of session, he stood for Ohio’s children. It’s my privilege and pleasure to endorse John Adams for state Senate.”

He is strong on the First Amendment — religious freedom. He is strong on the Second Amendment — rated “A “ by Buckeye Firearms Association.

John Adams has a record of leadership. As assistant majority floor leader in the House, Adams fought to block Obamacare expansion in the Legislature and gathered signatures for a formal protest when Gov. Kasich expanded Medicaid unilaterally.

John Adams is a state Senate candidate who has proven he is willing to stand up for certain core principles even if that means opposition from some within his own party.
