To the editor:

On the evening of March 16, 2016, an unusual accident occurred at my home. My neighbor backed into my garage door, causing the automatic door to not function correctly. The police came immediately and in turn called the fire department to assess any structural damage.

Both departments working together were able to get my car out of the garage so I could use it.

We, in Sidney, are very fortunate to have such capable people working in both the police and fire departments. I want to express my appreciation to both those departments and especially the people involved in that call for the great job they did.
