Suggestions for a safe, clean pool

To the editor:

I have spent 30 years in the cleaning business. During the summer while watching my grandchildern at the city pool I felt the staff could be removing the trash in a more safe and effective way.

1. They all need to be wearing PPE such as gloves.

2 They need to have a tilt cart so they can take the cart to the trash cans. Not only would this save time but it would keep liquid from spilling from the bags onto the grass or side walks.

3. Very concerned watching staff push trash down into cans with their hands (very, very unsafe). You can go on line and purchase a trash masher that allows someone to push the trash down safely.

Grandchildern had a good time at the pool. These are just some observations by someone with a great deal of experience.
