To the editor:

On Jan. 19, 2018, the March for Life took place in Washington D.C. I was part of the massive number of people who took part in the March. It was a sad day to remember the 60 million babies who have lost their life since the legalization of abortion in 1973. Media coverage was virtually nonexistent.

I marched because I love mothers and fathers and their babies. What stood out at the March was those courageous women carrying signs “ I Regret My Abortion” and courageous men carrying signs “I Regret the Loss of My Fatherhood.” The graphic displays of aborted babies’ bloody body parts — little hands, little feet and rib cages, and organs — reminded us that the aborted baby is not a unformed blob of tissue, but a living, growing child killed before birth.

I heard the historic words of the first President in 45 years to speak at the March and stand up for Life. President Trump said, “The March for Life is a movement born out of love: you love your families; you love your neighbors; you love our nation, and you love every child born and unborn, because you believe that every life is sacred; that every child is a precious gift from God.“

We can all take action to end abortion in our country by praying at the abortion mill in Kettering (www.40daysforlife.com), voting pro-life in local, state and national elections, donating money to pro-life organizations, speaking up to others about our pro-life beliefs and supporting women who have a difficult pregnancy.
