To the editor:
Does age or method make a difference?
The horrific shooting which has taken place most recently in Florida is unfathomable. These senseless killings have got to be prevented, there is no doubt. Whatever the motive; mental illness, revenge, wanting a time for notoriety or just the satisfaction of getting rid of people who are burdensome, must be addressed.
That is why I remain perplexed; how can we be so outraged when a person uses a fire arm to eliminate other human beings yet are tolerant of ending a life in the womb. Does age play a factor in our decision? All life is a gift from our Almighty Creator, is it not?
How can we remain placid? Is there any possibility that some in society has devalued life to such a degree that some are not radical in realizing that all are living children, given the gift of life by a loving Father in heaven?
With that thought in mind, I beg in prayer, for an end to all of these tragedies.
Sincerely,
Therese Tady
