PIQUA — Edison Community College’s women’s basketball team recently posted an 80-70 victory over Glen Oak in action at Edison.

Brooke Dunlevy poured in 26 points for the Lady Chargers and Carly Buzzard added 24 on 9-for-15 shooting from the field.

Sydney Miller finished with 14 and Brooke Hickey, a Riverside grad, added 10.

Buzzard made it a double-double with 11 rebounds and both Dunlevy and Dana Heckman pulled down eight rebounds.

Miller added six assists and Dunlevy and Buzzard four apiece.

The win put the Lady Chargers at 2-0.

• In their first game, they defeated the Cedarville junior varsity 78-60 in action at Edison.

Dunlevy tossed in 20 points, Buzzard 19 and Miller 18 for outstanding balance. Hickey added 10 points.

Miller finished with a double-double by adding 10 rebounds, Buzzard had nine, and Heckman and Dunlevy eight apiece. Miller also had six assists and Buzzard five.

Edison canned 29 of 55 from the field for 53 percent and outrebounded Cedarville 47-36.
