Edison women lose twice

PIQUA — Edison dropped to 2-2 on the season in women’s junior college basketball with a pair of losses recently.

On Friday, the Lady Chargers lost to Cincinnati-Clermont 81-57.

They trailed just 16-14 after a quarter, but UC-Clermont pulled out to a 41-28 halftime lead and pulled away from there.

For the Lady Chargers, Brooke Dunlevy poured in 20 points and added four assists, and Sydney Miller had 14 points.

Carly Buzzard pulled down nine rebounds and Brooke Hickey seven.

• Edison then took on Niagra County Community College the next night and lost 80-69.

Miller finished with 23 points for the Lady Chargers, Buzzard added 15 and Hickey finished with 13.

Dana Heckman pulled down 14 rebounds and both Dunlevy and Miller dished out five assists.

Albanellys Perez had 21 points and 25 rebounds for Niagra.
