RUSSIA — The Russia girls bounced back from an opening-night loss to Sidney to rout the Bradford Lady Railroaders in non-league girls basketball action Saturday, 68-35.

The win evened Russia’s record on the year at 1-1 going into a game last night against Fairlawn in County play.

Russia broke away from a relatively close first half to post the big win. The Lady Raiders led by six after a quarter and by 13 at the half, but the margin ballooned to 28 after three quarters.

Maria Herron had 19 to lead Russia, Cameo Wilson added 13 and Tiffany Hatcher finished with 10.
