SIDNEY — Lehman notched its first win of the season and dropped the Fairlawn Lady Jets to 0-3 on the year in a 43-35 verdict Saturday at Fairlawn.

The Lady Cavs are now 1-2 on the season.

Lehman broke a 9-9 tie after a quarter and led 23-18 at the half. The Lady Cavs then held on from there.

Carly Edwards added nine and Kassie Lee eight for Lehman. Allie Hall pulled down 11 rebounds, Lee had 10 and Edwards eight.

The story was the same for Fairlawn as in its first two losses — not enough scoring help for Audrey Francis. She scored 20 of her team’s 35 points, with Mollie Roe adding eight.

Francis, who went over 1,000 points in her last game, is averaging an even 21 points so far.
