Houston looking for coaches

HOUSTON — The Hardin-Houston school district is looking for a couple of coaches, it was announced recently,

There is an opening for junior varsity baseball for next spring, the current school year, and also an opening for junior high volleyball for the 2016-17 school year.

New Knoxville selling tickets

NEW KNOXVILLE — New Knoxville high school is selling tickets for its boys basketball game Friday night at Versailles.

Tickets will be sold during school hours on Thursday and Friday in the school office.

Tickets are $6 for adults and $4 for students, and all tickets at the door will be $6.

There will be no advance tickets sold for Saturday’s game at Anna.

Loramie schedules JV game

FORT LORAMIE — Fort Loramie’s girls basketball team will play Russia on Thursday, and since Russia has no junior varsity team, Fort Loramie has scheduled a JV game with Troy Christian.

That game will begin at 6 p.m., with the Loramie-Russia varsity game to follow.

Knoxville needs soccer coach

NEW KNOXVILLE — New Knoxville High School is looking for a boys soccer coach for the 2016 season.

Hole-in-one at Shelby Oaks

SIDNEY — Just before Shelby Oaks closed for the winter, Greg Barhorst of Anna recorded the second hole-in-one of his career, on the day before Thanksgiving.

He used a pitching wedge to ace the No. 4 north hole, which was playing 130 yards.
