NEW KNOXVILLE — Fort Loramie snapped a two-game losing streak Tuesday night in girls basketball action, edging New Knoxville 39-36 on the road in non-league play.
Highlighting the victory was Fort Loramie senior Jessica Boerger reaching the 1,000-point mark for her career. Boerger entered the game needing just three points to reach the milestone and finished with five.
Fort Loramie jumped on top 11-4 to start the game. The lead was 23-16 at the half, but the Lady Rangers stormed back behind Kenzie Schroer, who had 11 of her 15 points in the third quarter.
Knoxville led 30-29 going to the final period, but managed just six more points.
Holly Frey had 14 to lead Loramie and Kaitlyn Luebke added 10.

NEW BREMEN — New Bremen cruised to a 65-31 victory over Lehman in non-league girls play Tuesday night.
Lehman was led by Brogan McIver with nine and Alanna O’Leary with eight. No other details were available.
