Three Lehman Catholic and two Riverside volleyball players have earned all-Northwest Central Conference honors.
Lehman junior middle blocker Olivia Lucia and senior setter Alexis Snipes were named first team, as was Riverside senior outside hitter Shelby Giles. All three were first team selections last year as well.
Lucia has amassed a team-high 299 kills and 63 blocks this season and has recorded 34 aces. Snipes has 686 assists and is third on the team in blocks (25) and fourth in digs (172).
Giles leads Riverside in kills (156) and aces (47) and is second in digs (175).
Lehman junior outside hitter Lauren McFarland and Riverside sophomore setter Lauryn Sanford were named second team. Sanford was also a second-team selection last year, while McFarland was honorable mention.
McFarland ranks second for Lehman in kills (255), third in blocks (25) and first in digs (276). Sanford is second on Riverside’s team with 145 kills, third with 25 aces and first with 40 blocks.
Lehman’s Reese Geise and Abby Schutt were named honorable mention, as were Riverside’s Allison Knight and Sierra Snow.
The conference released the teams on Tuesday. Marion Elgin’s Josi Wolf was named player of the year and Elgin’s Wendy Muselin was named coach of the year.
