Raiders edge Jets in double-OT

SIDNEY — Russia led by 16 points in the third quarter, but the Fairlawn Jets stormed back to send the game into overtime Friday night at Fairlawn.

It took two overtimes to settle the verdict, with Russia coming away with a 76-73 victory in County boys basketball action.

Russia remains in a first-place tie in the County standings at 5-1 and is now 10-2 overall. The Jets are 3-4 in the league and 7-5 overall.

Russia had four in double figures, led by Jack Dapore with 20. Josh York and Jake Gariety had 12 apiece and Cole Tebbe added 11.

Nathan Lessing, who had just four at the half, finished with 34, including 16 in the third quarter. Kody Curtner added 11.
