SIDNEY — Anna remained unbeaten in County girls basketball action with a 53-31 win over Fairlawn in action at Fairlawn Thursday. But it wasn’t easy.

Fairlawn was within 34-31 after three quarters, but Anna outscored the Lady Jets 19-0 in the final period.

Nicole Barhorst had 15 and Avery Bensman 11 for Anna. Mollie Roe had 12 and Audrey Francis 11 for Fairlawn.

The Lady Rockets are now 8-0 in the league and 13-1 on the season. Fairlawn is 0-8 and 2-12.

Anna (53) — Bettinger 6, Bensman 11, Barhorst 15, Schmitmeyer 2, Huelskamp 8, Grimes 2, Spicer 9.

Fairlawn (31) — Roe 12, Francis 11, Dudgeon 2, Tyler 6.

Jackson Center 44, Houston 39

JACKSON CENTER – Cassie Meyer had one of those can’t-miss nights, and it led to the Lady Tigers beating Houston 44-39 in county play Thursday at Jackson.

Meyer was 6 for 8 overall from the field, including 4 for 5 from three-point range in finishing with 16 points for the Lady Tigers.

Teammate Nicole Fogt added a double-double of 10 points and 10 rebounds.

For Houston, Jenna Winner had 15 and Macey Stang 10.

BOTKINS — Fort Loramie upped its County record to 6-1 with a 54-35 victory over Botkins Thursday at Botkins.

The Lady Redskins are 10-2 overall. Botkins is 1-7 in the County and 7-8 overall.

Loramie got 20 points from Jessica Boerger and 15 from Holly Frey.

Paige Lane led Botkins with 13.

LIMA — Lehman’s girls had no trouble beating winless Lima Perry in Northwest Central Conference girls basketball Thursday, the final being 49-18.

It was an important win for Lehman because it kept the Lady Cavs unbeaten in NWCC play at 4-0. They are 6-7 overall. Perry is 0-11.

Grace Monnin had 10 to lead Lehman, which put 10 girls in the scoring column.

Lehman (49) — Edwards 4, Olding 4, O’Leary 2, Manning 10, McIver 2, Brandt 2, Lee 5, Fogt 9, Hall 7, Rego 4.

Perry (18) — Phillips 6, Healey 9, Denson 2, Crockett 1.

New Knoxville 39, Delphos SJ 22

NEW KNOXVILLE — New Knoxville cruised to its third straight win, beating Delphos St. John’s 39-22 in Midwest Athletic Conference play Thursday.

The Lady Rangers go to 4-1 in the MAC and 9-4 overall.

Kenzie Schroer had 12 to lead the Lady Rangers.
