Sidney girls move up in rankings

The unbeaten Sidney High girls basketball team moved up two spots this week in the Associated Press girls state basketball poll.

The Lady Jackets, 16-0 going into a game Wednesday night against Greenville, are ranked No. 6 in Division 1 this week. They were No. 8 in the first rankings a week ago.

In Division 3, the once-beaten Anna Lady Rockets remained in the same spot, holding down the No. 4 spot in the state. They are 14-1 on the season and received one first-place vote this week.

In Division 4, Fort Loramie dropped one spot to No. 9 this week, and Minster dropped four places to No. 10.

Loramie is 10-4 on the year and Minster 13-3. Minster lost to No. 7 Ottoville on Saturday but came back to edge Fort Loramie on Monday night. Minster also owns the only win this season over Anna.
