FORT LORAMIE — Anna and Fort Loramie reached the championship games in both 7th and 8th grade in the County junior high girls basketball tournament, going on at Fort Loramie.

In semifinal action Thursday, the Anna 7th grade defeated Russia 26-15, and Fort Loramie beat Houston (no score available).

Fort Loramie is the No. 1 seed in the 7th grade tourney and Anna is seeded No. 2. They will meet for the championship Monday at 6 p.m. at Fort Loramie.

Anna defeated Botkins 24-11 in the opening round, and Fort Loramie won over Jackson Center.

8th grade

In the 8th grade semifinals, top seed Anna defeated Russia, and No. 2 seed Fort Loramie beat Houston.

Anna and Loramie will meet in the championship Monday, following the 7th grade game.

It could be a defensive struggle in the finals — Fort Loramie has given up just 13 total points in wins over Jackson Center and Houston, and Anna has allowed just 15 points in wins over Botkins and Russia.

Russia reached the semifinals with a 27-16 win over Fairlawn.
