HOUSTON — The Shelby County Junior High Boys Basketball Tournament has reached the championship game after four semifinal games Tuesday night at Houston.
In the 7th grade semifinals, Fairlawn beat Botkins 47-41 with A. Piper and S. Piper both scoring 16 points. Free led Botkins with 13 points.
In the other 7th grade semifinal, Loramie defeated Jackson Center 25-16. Meyer led Loramie with 9 and Ross led Jackson with 8.
Fairlawn, the No. 3 seed, will play Loramie, the No. 2 seed, for the championship Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at Houston.
• In the 8th grade semifinals, it was top-seeded Anna beating Botkins 55-16 behind 10 points from Murray.
In the other semifinal, second-seeded Fort Loramie beat Jackson Center 40-19. Holthouse led Loramie with 10 and Reese had 13 for Jackson Center.
Loramie and Anna will meet Saturday after the 7th grade finals.
