SIDNEY — All area baseball and softball games scheduled for Thursday were postponed or cancelled due to cold weather.
Except for Sidney, which moved up games scheduled with archrival Piqua to Wednesday to beat the winter-like temperatures and wind.

Piqua scored three in the third and pulled within 5-4 after scoring one run in the fifth, but Sidney scored four runs in the bottom of the inning to run away.
Ryan Caufield picked up the win. He allowed two hits and four walks in four innings and had three strikeouts. The Indians scored three unearned runs while he was on the mound.
Carson Taylor was 2 for 3 with 3 RBIs while Aiden Booth was 2 for 4 with 2 RBIs. Darrius Basil was 2 for 4 with 1 RBI.
Taylor hit two doubles. Booth hit a triple and Gavin Roberts hit a double. Roberts was 1 for 2 and drew a walk.
