Softball players earn all-state honors

Softball players from Anna, Fort Loramie, Minster, Russia and Versailles earned all-state honors from the Ohio High School Fastpitch Softball Coaches Association for the 2021 season.

Rachael Hoying, a senior pitcher for Minster, and Riley Hammonds, a junior catcher for Russia, both were named second team all-Ohio in Division IV.

Fort Loramie senior infielder Clara Gephart was named honorable mention all-state in Division IV.

Lauren Monnin, a senior outfielder for Versailles, was named second team all-state in Division III.

Taylor Poeppelman, a sophomore outfielder for Anna, was named honorable mention all-Ohio in Division III.

The Ohio High School Fastpitch Softball Coaches Association named first, second and honorable mention all-state teams for Division I, II, III and IV. In Division III, 18 athletes were named to each of the three teams. In Division IV, 17 athletes were named to each of the teams.
