HOUSTON — The second annual Houston Softball Showcase will be held Friday and Saturday at Houston High School.

The event will bring in nine high school varsity teams and four junior varsity teams.

One of the varsity teams, Toledo Horizon Academy, will play in the junior varsity games.

The eight teams in the varsity tournament include Houston, Lehman, Sidney, Fort Loramie, Newton, Mechanicsburg, Parkway and Troy.

The two JV teams will be from Sidney and Fort Loramie.

There will be a $5 admission charge for spectators, and that will cover the entire event.

There will be a consession stand, and T-shirts will also be available for purchase. There is a limited number of the shirts.

The tournament will begin with three games Friday starting at 4:30. Games will start at 10 a.m. on Saturday, with the final game beginning at 4 p.m.

FRIDAY

4:30 — Indian Lake vs. Newton, diamond 1

5:30 — Houston vs. Lehman, varsity diamond

6:15 — Indian Lake vs. Troy, diamond 1

SATURDAY

10 a.m. — Fort Loramie vs. Parkway, varsity diamond; Sidney vs. Newton, diamond 1

Noon — Houston vs. Mechanicsburg, varsity diamond; Fort Loramie vs. Troy, diamond 1

2 p.m. — Parkway vs. Sidney, varsity diamond; Newton vs. Mechanicsburg, diamond 1

4 p.m. — Houston vs. Troy, varsity diamond
