The annual Bob Fridley Junior Golf Tournament was held Monday at Shelby Oaks, with youth golfers competing in three different divisions.

In the oldest division, for 15, 16 and 17-year-olds, there were 16 competitors, only one of them female. But she was the champion.

Fort Loramie’s Emily Knouff, fresh off her Shelby County Ladies Open championship on Saturday, won the division Monday by a single stroke. She shot a 74 to edge Zach Watren, who shot a 75. Brad Goettemoeller added a 78 for third place.

In the 13-14-year-old division, there were six participants, and low gross honors went to Bart Bixler of Anna, who shot a 90. That was just four strokes better than runner-up Christopher Elchert of Jackson Center.

And in the 10-11-12-year-old division, there were five competitors, playing nine holes. First was Bryce Cobb with a 43. Conley New shot a 59.
