Lehman took the top honors in the Northwest Central Conference all-league baseball selections, announced recently.
Senior Nate Bosway was named the player of the year, and head coach Dave King the Coach of the Year after he led the Cavaliers to a perfect 14-0 record and the championship of the NWCC.
The Cavaliers play today in the Division 4 Regional semifinals in Springfield.
Bosway leads the Cavaliers in hitting with a .486 batting average, with 36 hits in 74 at-bats. He has seven doubles, a triple and a team-high four homers, and has also scored 36 times and driven in a team-high 38.
He also pitched well, with a 0.78 earned run average in 18 innings of work.
King, meanwhile, heads into today’s regional game with 566 career victories.
Lehman had three players named to the first team and three to the second. Heading the first-team picks was Parker Riley, the Cavs’ pitching ace who is 12-0 going into today’s game. That ties the school record for most wins.
Bosway is also first team, along with catcher Max Schutt, who is hitting .380, with nine doubles and 33 RBIs.
Second-team picks are Brandon Barhorst, Dylan Arnold and Stephen Monnin. Barhorst is at .405 at the plate and leads the team in stolen bases with 20. Arnold is hitting .338 and has hit three homers this season, and Monnin is at .368 and has given the Cavs’ solid pitching help, with an ERA that stands at 2.31.
Tyler Lachey and Ian Smith were named to the Honorable Mention list.
Riverside put four on the first team in Dakota Bollinger, Landon Kelsey, Caleb Stevens and Connor Cotterman.
Bollinger hit .393 this season and scored 33 runs, and he was also the ace of the pitching staff, with a 1.91 ERA. Stevens, who has gone on to run track and was a two-time district champion last week in the sprints, hit .447, tops among the regulars, and Cotterman hit .414 with a team-high 34 RBIs. Kelsey hit .316 and scored 31 runs.
Tyler Sanford was named to the second team and Hunter Kreglow and Logan Stobbe to the Honorable Mention list.
Softball
Lehman had one player named first team all-conference in softball in freshman catcher Grace Monnin. She wound up hitting .481 this season, with team-highs in hits with 37, runs with 30, triples with four and homers with four. She also drove in 26 runs.
Sidney Chapman and Amanda Titterington were both second-team picks. Chapman hit .310, with a team-high 11 doubles, and Titterington hit .343.
League champion Riverside put four on the first team in Player of the Year Lauryn Davis, Kristin Davidson, Abby Proffitt and Marissa Davis.
Lauryn Davis hit .407 with 33 RBIs, and was also the top pitcher, going 10-1 with a 1.84 ERA. Davidson hit a team-high .511 with 46 hits, 41 runs and 27 RBIs, and Proffitt hit .446 with 37 runs and 28 driven in. Marissa Davis hit .482 and led the team in runs with 42 and in RBIs with 48.
Aubrey Stillings was named to the second team. She hit .489 and was co-leader in runs scored with 42.
Taylor Stevens and Helena Faulder were named to the Honorable Mention list.
