Staff report

A Holy Angels 7th grader recently ended an impressive season in track and field with two wins at the conference meet and a strong performance in the state middle school meet.

Lindsey Magoteaux ran for Lehman’s junior high team and won two events at the Northwest Central Conference meet, setting new meet records in both.

She won the 100-meter dash in 12.74 and also won the 200 meters with a time of 26.64. That would put her in the Sidney Daily News high school Track Honor Roll in both events.

She also competed in the Middle School State Championships held at Dublin Scioto High School late last month.

She won the 7th grade 200 meters in 26.26, and was second in the 7th grade 100 in 12.78. She also competed against eighth graders from across the state and finished fourth overall in both events.
