MINSTER — The Anna Rockets won their County opener Thursday when they traveled to Arrowhead in Minster to take on the Fort Loramie Redskins.

After a lightning delay, Anna shot a 169 to win by seven strokes over the Redskins, who shot 176.

Zach Watren led Anna with a 39, Eli Kuck shot a 40, Mason Platfoot 41 and Troy Rindler 49.

Fort Loramie’s Brad Gottemoeller was the match medalist, shooting a 37. Also for the Redskins, Craig Eilerman and Zach Pleiman both shot 46, and Mitchell Puthoff added a 48.

JC 192, Ridgemont 231

KENTON — Jackson Center went on the road and won a dual match, beating Ridgemont 192-231 in non-league play.

Trent Platfoot led the Tigers with a 44, Colton Rose shot 46, Bryce Sosby 50, and both Brady Wildermuth and Christopher Elchert had 52s.

Russia 178, Houston 203

In another County match Thursday, Russia beat Houston in action at Shelby Oaks, 178-203.

Houston was led by Tristin Stangel with a 47 and Cameron Via with a 48. Bryan Funk added a 52 and Nathan Stangel 54.

No scores were available for Russia.
