SIDNEY — The Lehman Lady Cavs came away with a big win in non-league girls soccer action Tuesday, blanking visiting Troy Christian 2-0 in action at Lehman.

The win puts the Lady Cavs at 1-0-1 on the season heading into a game Tuesday at home against West Liberty-Salem.

“We knew that we were going to be tested tonight,” said Lehman coach Jeremy Lorenzo. “Troy Christian always plays us hard and they are well coached. They came out pretty hard at us and were really pushing for that early goal. I was extremely happy with the back line and our holding midfielders. They showed a lot of discipline back there. As the game went on our midfield was able to control the pace of the game. It was a true team effort all the way around.”

Lehman got goals from Kaitrin O’Leary and Grace Monnin, both unassisted.

Goalie Camille Brown had five saves.
