BOTKINS — Botkins evened its record at 1-1 with a 5-2 Western Ohio Soccer League win over visiting county rival Jackson Center in action Thursday at Botkins Community Park.

Both of Jackson Center’s goals came from Gavin Booser, one on an assist from Klay Akers.

No statistics were available from Botkins.

NK 3, Spencerville 2

SPENCERVILLE — New Knoxville evened its record at 1-1 with a 3-2 victory over Spencerville in Western Ohio soccer League action Thursday.

The win put the Rangers at 1-0 in the league.

The Ranger goals were scored by Zach Davis, Jonah Lageman and Joseph Baende.

Girls

Anna 3, Newton 0

Anna upped its record on the young season to 2-0 with a 3-0 blanking of Newton in girls non-league soccer action Thursday.

The Lady Rockets have now outscored their first two opponents 12-0.

Taylor Kauffman led the way for the Lady Rockets with two goals.

Adrienne Endsley had the other goal, and Rylie Edwards and Breah Kuck both had assists.

Savanna Hosttler finished with three saves in goal.

Junior varsity

Lehman’s junior varsity girls team took on Piqua on Wednesday and rolled to an easy 7-0 victory in its first game of the season.

Elizabeth Gibson had two goals and one assist to lead the Lady Cavs, and Madison Hurley had two goals.

Grace Dexter had a goal an an assists, Riley McIver a goal an an assist, and Hannah Giguere had a goal.
