SIDNEY — Shelby Oaks was the site of the Jackson Center-Houston boys County golf match on Thursday, with Jackson winning 186-201.

Bryce Sosby of JC shot a 44 for medalist honors, Drew Sosby had a 46, and Coltin Rose and Brady Wildermuth both shot 48.

Nick Shoemaker led Houston with a 48, Deion Booher had a 50, Cameron Via 51 and Zach McKee 52.

Anna victorious

in County match

SIDNEY — Anna won a County dual match over over Fairlawn at Shelby Oaks Thursday, 167-180.

Mason Platfoot shot a 40 for medalist honors. Also for Anna, Ryam Smelewski had a 41, Zach Watren 42 and Eli Kuck 44.

For Fairlawn, Nathan Lessing had a 42, Jacob Caldwell 44 and Josh Reck and Kyle Noble 47.

Jackets fall to V-B

SIDNEY — Sidney was not a match for visiting Vandalia-Butler in Greater Western Ohio Conference North boys golf action Wednesday, losing 149-193.

Cole Cartwright had a 44 and Jared Lindsey 47 for Sidney, Thomas Atwood and Gambit Hand both added 51.

“As of right now, Vandalia is just on a different level than us,” said Sidney coach Thomas Goffena. “They have four guys that consistently shoot in the 30s and drive the ball very well. One of them drove the green on a 330-yard par 4 hole. I felt like some of our golfers tried to hang and beat their guy and we cannot do that.”

Versailles defeats

Minster by 23

MINSTER — Versailles defeated Minster 177-200 in boys golf action at Arrowhead Wednesday.

Kyle Cotner had a 41 for Versailles, Nicholas Litten Stonebraker had 43, Griffen Riegle 44 and Jacob Watren 49.

For Minster, Jordan Brackman had a 45, Ben Stubbs 50, Adam Knapke 52 and Logan Lazier 53.

Versailles by one

VERSAILLES — Minster edged Versailles 193-194 in dual girls golf at Stillwater Wednesday.

For Minster, Alli Fischer had a 45, Lisa Borges 48, Hallie Sherman 49 and Taylor Homan 51.

For Versailes, Maddie Covault had 45, Lauren Heitkamp and Lauren Durham 49 and Jorja Pothast 51.
