Wells-Barnes leads Edison

PIQUA — The Edison volleyball team had a busy week, splitting four matches.

Edison opened the week with a 25-0, 25-16, 25-16 win over Miami University Middletown.

Mikaela Oyer had four kills and three assists, while Sidney grad Brianna Wells-Barnes also had four kills. Taylor Bachman had eight digs and Fairlawn grad Allison Watkins dished out five assists.

Edison lost to Lorain 25-8, 25-19, 25-23.

Watkins had seven assists, while Tasha Potts had 13 digs and Kerri Meade added 12.

Edison lost to Owens 25-12, 25-9, 25-18 on Saturday.

Oyer had five kills, five assists and four blocks, while Meade added four kills. Watkins had four assists and three aces, while Molly Dunlevy had three blocks. Taylor Stover had six digs and Kenzie Atkinson added five.

On Sunday, Edison defeated WSU-Lake 25-20, 25-15, 25-9.

Wells-Barnes had 12 kills to lead the chargers and Rachel Foreman added five.
