Lady Cavs blank Lima Catholic

SIDNEY — The Lehman girls went to 2-0 in the Western Ohio Soccer League with an easy 7-0 win over visiting Lima Catholic in action Thursday night.

Overall, the Lady Cavaliers, No. 2-ranked in Ohio in D-3, are now 4-1-1.

Sara Fuller led the way for the Lady Cavs, scoring three goals and adding an assist. Grace Monnin had two goals and an assists, Grace Olding had a goal and an assist, Kate Hemm had a goal, and Kate and Samantha Edwards both had assists.

“We jumped on them pretty early and things were really clicking for us,” said Lehman head coach Jeremy Lorenzo.

The Lady Cavs are back in action Saturday At Franklin Monroe.

Boys soccer

Tigers tie 2-2

JACKSON CENTER — The Jackson Center Tigers and Spencerville battled to a 2-2 tie in soccer league action at Jackson Thursday.

The Tigers got both their goals from Gavin Boosder.

In goal, Trevor Elliot had seven saves before being injured. His replacement, Corbin Murphy, had four saves.

The Tigers, 22-1 on the year, host Lima Temple on Monday.

Jets edged 3-2

BELLEFONTAINE — The Fairlawn Jets wered edged in boys soccer action Thursday, 3-2 by Calvary Christian on the road.

The Jets’ goals came from DJ Graves and Stepehn Blanford. Lance Jones had an assist.

Fairlawn goalie Ethan Schnipke was credited with 16 saves.
