Lehman notched its first win of the season Thursday in high school girls tennis, defeating Dayton Stivers 4-1.
The lone loss was in a close match at first singles, with Diana Gibson losing 7-6 (7-4), 6-4.
At second singles, Sarah Gibson won 6-1, 6-2, and at third singles, Melanie Brunner won 6-1, 6-0.
At first doubles, Emma Simpson and Alex Read won 6-4, 6-4, and at second doubles, Alison Briggs and Ann Pennaparra won 6-1, 6-2.
“I’m very proud of the girls,” said first-year coach Tim Ungericht. “They have a great attitude and they stuck with it. It paid off with our first win of the season.”
