Jets win Oaks tri-match


SIDNEY — Sidney, Fairlawn and Houston got together for a boys golf match at Shelby Oaks Tuesday.

Fairlawn finished with a 168, Sidney had 196 and Houston 197.

For the Jets, Kody Kurtner shot a 41, Mason Jones and Kyle Noble shot 42s, and Nathan Lessing finished with a 43.

For Sidney, Cole Cartwright was the match medalist with a 38, and Zane Walker added a 48. Gambit Hand finished with a 50.

Houston was led by Cameron Via with a 47. Deion Booher had a 49 and Zach McKee 50.

JC wins by 2

Jackson Center hosted Ridgemont at Shelby Oaks and won by two strokes, 178-180.

Drew Sosby was medalist with a 37, Bryce Sosby had a 42, Brady Wildermuth 49 and Coltin Rose 50 for the Tigers.

Cavs down ML

PIQUA — Lehman defeated Marion Local in action at the Piqua Country Club Tuesday 179-187.

Tyler Scott shot a 38 for Lehman, Cole Gilardi 44, Tyler Lachey 47 and Adam Vanderhorst 50.


Heitkamp shoots 38

Versailles won easily over Parkway in girls golf action, 168-227.

Lauren Heitkamp shot a 38 for the Lady Tigers, Jorja Pothast had a 42, Maddie Covault 43 and Lauren Durham 44.


Jackets lose to Troy

SIDNEY — Cole Cartwright shot a 38 for Sidney, but the Jackets lost at Shelby Oaks to Troy in Greater Western Ohio Conference North play Monday, 154-181.

In addition to Cartwright, Jared Lindsey had a 46, Zane Walker 48 and Thomas Atwood 49.

Cavs win big

Lehman also played at Shelby Oaks Monday and beat Lima Perry in Northwest Central Conference play 168-229.

Tyler Scott shot a 37, Adam Vanderhorst 42, Tyler Lachey 44 and Cole Gilardi 45.

The Cavs go to 3-1 in NWCC play.

Jets beat JC

Also at Shelby Oaks, Fairlawn defeated Jackson Center 171-183 in County play.

Nathan Lessing and Mason Jones both shot 42 for the Jets, Kody Curtner had a 43 and Jacob Caldwell 44. Kyle Noble added a 45.

For Jackson, Bryce Sosby had a 41 and Drew Sosby 42.

Russia wins again

VERSAILLES — Russia tuned up for Thursday’s County Meet at Shelby Oaks with a 43-stroke victory over Botkins in action at Stillwater Monday.

The Raiders had 160 and were led by Zach Sherman’s 36. Jonah Counts and Dylan Cordonnier both shot 41 and Connor Monnin added a 42.

For Botkins, which had a 203, Josh Miller and Nick Fischio both shot 49.

Minster falls in MAC

ROCKFORD — Minster lost in Midwest Athletic Conference action Monday to Parkway, 183-192.

Minster is 3-6 overall and was led by Adam Knapke with a 47. Logan Lazier and Brett Hoelscher both shot 48 and Jordan Brackman had a 49.

V-Tigers lose by 5

CELINA — Versailles dropped to 6-2 in the MAC with a 176-181 loss to St. Henry in action at the Mercer Elks Monday.

Nicholas Litten Stonebraker had a 42 for Versailles, Griffen Riegle 44, Kyle Cotner 46 and both Jacob Watren and Michael Hemmelgarn had 49.

ML tips Knoxville

MINSTER — New Knoxville hosted Marion Local at Arrowhead and lost 186-210 in MAC boys golf.

Derek Platfoot of Marion was the medalist with a 41, Jordan Heitkamp had a 46, Collin Fleck 49 and Mitch Rethman 51.

Hunter McMurray again led the Rangers with a 46.


Knouff leads FL

MINSTER — Junior Emily Knouff shot a 39 to lead the Fort Loramie Lady Redskins to a 198-205 victory over Russia in action Monday at Arrowhead.

Megan Koppin added a 51, Amy Eilerman 53 and Kayla Rosengarten 55 for the Lady Redskins.

For Russia, Maddie Borchers shot a 49, Alicia Grilliot 50 and Lizzy Adams and Kara Barlage 53.

75-stroke win

MINSTER — Minster coasted to an easy win Monday, beating Parkway by 75 strokes in action at Arrowhead.

Ali Fischer and Hannah Koenig both shot 47 to lead Minster, Hallie Sherman had a 49 and Lisa Borges added a 50.

Lady Tigers win

VERSAILLES — Versailles outdid St. Henry in action at Stillwater Monday, 196-213.

Maddie Covalt had a 43, Lauren Heitkamp 47, Jorja Pothast 51 and Lauren Durham 55 for the Lady Tigers.
