BOTKINS — The Botkins Lady Trojans won their second in a row and upped their record on the year to 12-4 with a 52-28 win over visiting Indian Lake in non-league girls basketball action Monday at Botkins.

The Lady Trojans led by just two at the half and by eight at the half, then allowed Lake just nine points the entire second half.

Sarah Bergman led Botkins with 17 points, hitting 7-for-12 from the field.

Paige Lane and Casey Woodall added 12 points apiece. Lane hit five of her six shots from the field.

Bergman also had seven rebounds and three blocked shots, and Jenna Pitts dished out four assists for Botkins.

The Lady Trojans are back in action Thursday at Jackson Center.

Cedarville 67, Riverside 43

CEDARVILLE — The Riverside Lady Pirates dropped to 2-14 on the year with a 67-43 loss to Cedarville in non-league action Monday night.

The Lady Pirates had a good first quarter, trailing just 21-16, but managed only 11 points over the next two quarters, dropping them 26 points behind after three periods.

Sopho0more Dana Jones led the Lady Pirates with 15, and all of her points came on five three-point field goals.

Riverside returns to action Thursday at Hardin Northern.

Bethel 53, Fairlawn 24

TIPP CITY — Fairlawn dropped to 0-15 on the year after losing on the road Monday to Bethel 53-24.

Bethel goes to 5-8 with the victory.

The Lady Jets are back in action Thursday night at Houston.
