MARIA STEIN — Anna, Botkins and Lehman all traveled to Marion Local for a four-team track and field meet on Tuesday night.

Anna was a clear-cut winner in both boys and girls competition.

The boys scores were Anna 125.5, Marion Local 59, Botkins 55.5 and Lehman 13.

The girls scores were Anna 110, Marion Local 67.5, Botkins 36.5 and Lehman 28.

For the Anna boys, Joel Gaier won the 800 and ran on the winning 1600 and 3200 relay teams.

Logan Konst won the 100 dash, the pole vault and ran on the winning 400 relay team.

Partrick Toller won the 400 dash and ran on the winning 1600 and 3200 relay teams.

Dylan Berner won the high jump and ran on the winning 1600 relay.

Derek Arling ran on three winning relay teams, the 400, 800 and 1600, and Ian Bollheimer ran on two, including the 400 and 800.

Two members of the Botkins Trojans won two events each.

Josh Miller was impressive in winning the shot put and discus. He heaved the shot 57 feet, 3 inches and the discus 163 feet, 8 inches.

And teammate Micah Smock won the 110 and 300 hurdles.

• The Anna girls won seven events in taking the team title.

They were led by Rachel Shoemaker, who won the 200 dash, the long jump and ran on the winning 800 relay team.

Hannah Shoemaker won the pole vault and ran on the winning 400 relay team, and Rylie Edwards won the 100 hurdles and ran on the winning 400 and 800 relay teams.

Anna won three of the four relays.

Botkins got a pair of wins from Grace Homan, who heaved the shot 35-5 and had a 124-2 to also win the discus. And teammate Adriana Jutte added a first in the 300 hurdles.

For Lehman, Alanna O’Leary won the 100 and Maria Schmiesing was first in the 1600.

Marion Local, meanwhile, got two first places from Kelsey Broering, in the 400 and 3200, and two from Jessie Kramer, in the high jump and 800.

St. Henry tri

ST. HENRY — Fort Loramie and Versailles took on St. Henry in a triangular meet at St. Henry Tuesday night.

The boys scores were St. Henry with 64.5, Versailles 59.5, and Fort Loramie 51 in a close meet.

The girls scores were 75 for Versailles, 54 for Fort Loramie and 41 for St. Henry.

Fort Loramie had five first places, led by Alan Holdheide. He won the 800 and the pole vault, and also anchored the winning 1600 relay team.

Joe Ballas, meanwhile, won the 3200 and teamed with Noah Siegel, Tom Ballas and Jake Rethman to win the 3200.

Tom Ballas and Rethman also ran on the 1600 relay team, along with Carter Mescher.

For Versailles, Kyle Jones won the 100 dash and the long jump, Cole Condon won the 400, and the team of George Grow, Blake Schulze, Garrett Thompson and Jones won the 400 relay.

On the girls side, Alyssa Wrasman of Fort Loramie won the 100 and 300 hurdles and ran on the winning 1600 relay team with Chloe Stang, Erin Chaney and Kennedi Gephart.

Grace Wehrman won the 400 dash and ran on the winning 400 relay team with Stang, Chaney and Hannah Siegel.

For Versailles, Jenna Frantz won both the 100 dash and the pole vault.

The team of Kari Mangen, Liz Watren, Emily Langenkamp and Camille Watren won the 3200 relay.

Kara Spitzer won the 1600, Liz Watren won the 200, Megan Rismiller won the 3200, Katie Pothast was first in the high jump, Brittney Hiestand the discus and Lindsey Didier the shot put.

Covington quad

COVINGTON — Riverside competed in a four-team meet at Covington on Tuesday, with the boys placing second and the girls fourth.

For the boys, Caleb Stevens had an impressive meet, winning three events. He was first in the long jump at 19 feet, 5 inches, first in the 100 dash in 11.1 and first in the 200 dash in 22.5.

Ollie Jacobs was second in the 400, Jaxon Heath second in the 110 and 300 hurdles, Ethan Williams was second in the 3200, while the 800, 1600 and 3200 relay teams were all second.

For the girls, Ashley Plank had the top finish, second in the 300 hurdles.

• The Riverside junior high teams recently competed in a meet at Ridgemont.

For the boys, who won with 110 points, Caleb Wright won the 200 and 400 dashes, Ethan Burrowns won the 800 and was second in the 1600, John Zumberger won the long jump, Ian Hughes won the high jump, and Kale Long won the shot put.

In addition, the 400, 800 and 1600 relay terams were all first.

The girls were third with 63 points.

Lauren Sanford won the 1600 and Aradia Roth the 800, and both the 400 and 1600 relay teams were first. Allie Knight ran on a winning relay team, and also finished second in both hurdles races.
