HOUSTON — The ninth annual Houston 5K Classic will be held on June 24 at the Hardin-Houston Local School in Houston.

The event is sponsored by Wilson Health, Ernst Sports, Brooks Sports Inc., Can’t Stop Running Co., and Shelby Chiropractic Health Center Inc.

Features for the race include a rural course and a long list of door prizes, including two free pairs of Brooks running shoes courtesy of Brooks Sports, Inc.

Start time for the 5K is 8:30 am. A one mile fun run will begin at approximately 9:15 a.m.

Race day registration and packet pickup runs from 7:15 to 8:15 a.m. at the school. Parking is available at the school.

Pre-registration is $25 with a moisture wicking technical T-shirt and $20 without a shirt if postmarked by June 9.

Race day registration is $20 without a shirt. Shirts may be available for purchase the day of the race.
