Lady Tiger spikers run mark to 15-0

BOTKINS — The No. 3-ranked Jackson Center Lady Tigers kept rolling along, beating Botkins 3-0 in County volleyball action on the road Thursday night.

The Lady Tigers won 25-10, 25-14, 25-15 to run their record to 8-0 in league play and 15-0 on the season. Botkins dips to 0-9 and 5-13.

Cassie Meyer had 13 kills for Jackson and Alicia Kessler and Erin Metz had five kills each. Pauline Meyer had nine digs and five ace serves. Peyton Esser had eight digs, and Kamryn Elchert had 178 assists.

For Botkins, Sami Vehorn had 11 kills, Jenna Pitts 19 digs and Blake Maurer nine assists.

Lady Jets beat

Houston 4-1

SIDNEY — The Fairlawn Lady Jets got a big game from Audrey Francis and defeated visiting Houston 3-1 in County volleyball action Thursday.

The scores were 25-9, 25-27, 25-15, 25-19 and the win put the Lady Jets at 4-5 in the league and 12-5 overall. Houston drops to 2-8 and 7-10.

Francis pounded out 35 kills and had 31 digs for the Lady Jets. Mollie Roe finished with 12 kills, Chelsie Brautigam had 45 assists and 123 digs, and Jamie Branscum added 14 digs.

For Houston, Jenna Winner had eight kills and 10 digs. Jess Monnier had six kills and Sarah Monnier five.

Jenna Mounts had nine digs and Katherine Everett had nine assists.

Houston won the JV game in two.

Loramie spikers

beat Russia 1-0

RUSSIA — The Fort Loramie girls upped their County record to 6-2 and their overall mark to 11-6 with a 3-0 win over Russia Thursday in County play.

The scores were 25-22, 25-14, 25-18.

Russia dips to 2-6 and 6-11.

For the Lady Redskins, Caileigh Barhorst had 10 kills and Sara Stang nine. Maddie Brandewie handed out 25 assists, Jess Stephens had 13 digs and Barhorst 12.

Minster wins 3-0

over Fort Recovery

FORT RECOVERY — Minster went on the road and made quick work of Fort Recovery in Midwest Athletic Conference play, winning 3-0 on scores of 25-13, 25-11, 25-17.

The win put the Lady Wildcats at 10-8 on the year.

Paige Thobe led in kills with nine, Rosie Westerbeckhad eighth and Hannah Schmitmeyer finished with seven for Minster.

Hayley Baumer had 23 assists, seven digs and three ace serves, Hannah Schmitmeyer had 14 digs and LeAnn Huelsman 10 digs.
