There have already been two perfect 300 games rolled at Bel-Mar Lanes this season, by Wayne Doyle and Kevin Cotterman.
Doyle rolled the first one of the season, during the Bel-Mar Major League two weeks ago. He started out with games of 255 and 224, then followed with his 300 for a 779 series. He is now averaging 235.
Not to be outdone, Cotterman rolled a 300 a few nights later in the Sunday Niters League. He started slowly, with a 164, then came back with his perfect game. He finished with a 248 for a 712 series, and is now averaging 196.
It was the first sanctioned 300 for Cotterman.
There were also two near misses at Bel-Mar. Trent Knoop and Ryan Yinger both left the 10 pin on their final ball to finish with 299s.
