Lehman spikers rallypast New Bremen 3-2

SIDNEY — The Lehman volleyball team rallied for a 25-23, 18-25, 21-25, 25-21, 15-11 win over New Bremen Tuesday in non-conference action.

“We were down two sets to one and down in the fourth set,” Lehman coach Greg Snipes said. “I thought the kids showed a lot of heart after being down and that was good to see. We knew this was going to be a tough match.”

Sidney Chapman had 25 kills for Lehman, 13-6.

Maddy McFarland added 10 kills, Madeline Smith dished out 38 assists and Madison Hussey had 12 digs.

The Lady Cavs move to 13-6 on the season and New Bremen drops to 12-7.

Lehman will host Upper Scioto Valley Thursday in NWCC action.

Sidney falls 3-0

PIQUA — Sidney lost for the second night in a row in the Greater Western Ohio Conference tournament, 3-0 at Piqua.

The scores were 25-21, 25-20, 25-16.

Sidney is now 8-12 and Piqua 11-8.

No other details were available.

Fairlawn

In Fairlawn’s loss Tuesday night to unbeaten Jackson Center, Audrey Francis had 13 kills and 23 digs, Paige Vondenheuvel had 10 kills and Chelsie Brautigam had 25 assists.
