SIDNEY — Mason Platfoot was the medalist with a 37 to lead Anna’s boys golf team to a 172-203 win over Botkins on Tuesday at Shelby Oaks Golf Course. The win improves the Rockets to 3-2 in Shelby County Athletic League match play, while the Trojans drop to 0-6.
Eli Kuck had a 42 for Anna, Isaac Cain had a 46 and Cole Maurer had a 47. Nick Fischio led Botkins with a 42. Anthony Opperman had a 49, Alex Bajwa had a 51 and Connor Stutsman had a 63.
Anna finishes SCAL play on Thursday against Fairlawn at Shelby Oaks. Tuesday’s match was Botkins’ last league contest. The Trojans play next on Saturday at the Jet Invitational at Turtle Creek Golf Course in Greenville.
Fort Loramie 169, Jackson Center 176
Fort Loramie stays atop the SCAL standings with Tuesday’s victory at Shelby Oaks.
Zach Pleiman led Loramie with a 40. Mitchell Puthoff, Craig Eilerman and Eli Rosengarten each had 43, Jared Middendorf had a 44 and Shea Swick had a 49.
Jackson Center’s Bryce Sosby was the medalist with a 38. Chris Elchert had a 44, Coltin Rose and TJ Esser both had 47 and Trent Platfoot and Jordan Rizzo both had 48.
The Redskins (5-0) will play Russia (3-2) at Arrowhead Golf Course on Thursday to finish conference match play. Jackson Center (4-1) will play Houston at Shelby Oaks on Thursday.
Lehman Catholic 177, Lima Perry 187
Tyler Lachey led the Cavaliers with a 41 on Tuesday at Shelby Oaks. Lehman improves to 3-0 in the Northwest Central Conference and 11-0 overall.
Ryan Schmidt had a 44 and Cole Gilardi and Mikey Rossman each had 46 for the Cavaliers. Perry’s Logan Dray was the medalist with a 39.
Lehman plays next on Friday against New Knoxville at Shelby Oaks.
Girls Golf
Versailles 195, Marion Local 249
Lauren Durham was the medalist with a 40 to lead the Tigers (4-0 Midwest Athletic Conference) to the win on Tuesday.
Morgan Heitkamp had a 47 for Versailles. Morgan Barlage had a 53, Jorja Pothast had a 55, Anna Groff had a 55 and Alexis Jay had a 65. Maddie Smith led the Flyers with a 57.
The Tigers play next on Thursday against St. Henry.
Minster 207, Riverside 243
Dana Jones led Riverside with a 46 on Tuesday at Arrowhead.
