On Tuesday, the Southwest Golf Coaches Association held its end of season meeting and two golfers from Shelby County Athletic League teams earned honors.

Nick Fischio from Botkins was named the Division III Player of the Year and was also named to first team D-II/III. Fischio, a junior, was the Player of the Year in the SCAL.

Zach Pleiman from Fort Loramie was named to second team in Div. II/III. Pleiman, a sophomore, was first team all-SCAL and finished the season with a 9-hole average of 41.67.

The SWGCA all-star teams are determined by coaches (who are in good standing with the association) nominating players and reporting on their players’ statistics and accomplishments throughout the season.
