Fort Loramie ranked No. 1 in first AP state poll

0

Fort Loramie is ranked in Division IV and Versailles and Anna are both ranked in Div. III in the first Associated Press state boys basketball poll of the season.

The Redskins are No. 1 in D-IV after amassing a 10-0 record to start the season. Fort Loramie, which averages 59.2 points per game, has every starter back off last season’s regional semifinalist team.

Versailles, which is third in D-III, hasn’t had many challenges in amassing its 9-0 record. One close game the Tigers had, though, was a two-point win over Anna on Dec. 27. The Rockets (9-2) are No. 10 in D-III.

All Division I through IV polls are below, with win-loss record and total points (first-place votes in parentheses). A statewide panel of sports writers and broadcasters rate Ohio high school basketball teams each week.
