Grand Lake United Stars will hold girls club soccer supplemental callouts on Nov. 12 at Tawawa Park in Sidney and Nov. 14 at Botkins Community Park.

The callout in Sidney will be from 4-to-6 p.m. and the one in Botkins from 2-to-4 p.m.

The callouts are open only to uncarded players or players on the permission-to-tryout/talk list. It is for girls born from 2005 to 2008.

Players should dress in shorts with white T-shirts, soccer cleats, shin guards and bring a size-4 ball, birth certificate and water.

A parent information session will also be held.

There is no cost.

Wiseman selected

as youth instructor

Lehman head boys soccer coach Tom Wiseman was recently selected as an instructor for United Stated Youth Soccer’s Olympic Development Program in Ohio South Youth Soccer Association’s District 2.

Wiseman just completed his first year as Lehman’s head coach after serving two years as an assistant. He is also involved with youth soccer, coaching girls U-9.

“It’s really an honor to be selected and represent Shelby County and Lehman,” said Wiseman. “I’m hoping I can teach this game while also learning some coaching methods through participation in this program.”
