Boys basketball: Fort Loramie stays No. 1 in AP state poll

Fort Loramie keeps its top ranking in Division IV, while Versailles and Minster remain ranked in Divisions III and IV, respectively, in this week’s Associated Press state poll.

The Redskins posted wins over Thurgood Marshall, Botkins and Minster last week to improve to 14-0 overall. Fort Loramie beat Minster 52-51 in overtime on Saturday.

Aside from Saturday’s overtime loss, the Wildcats (8-3) beat Franklin Monroe and New Bremen. Minster was ranked ninth last week and is tied for the spot with Springfield Catholic Central this week.

Versailles (13-1) remains ranked No. 8 in D-III. The Tigers posted wins over Sidney, Lima Central Catholic and Fort Recovery last week.

All Division I through IV polls are below, with win-loss record and total points (first-place votes in parentheses). A statewide panel of sports writers and broadcasters rate Ohio high school basketball teams each week.
